On May 1, 2022, just over 200 participants lined up at the starting line for the very first Grue Half Marathon. The journey since has been a grand adventure, and with 1,500 at the starting line in 2025, it's time to think innovatively. After this year's Grue Half Marathon, we will separate the 10 kilometers into its own race under the name Gruemila, which is Norway's fastest mile, completely flat with a net drop of 9 meters, as well as 6 km of tailwind heading towards the finish.

Highlights

  • Grue Half Marathon experienced significant growth from 200 participants in 2022 to an expected 1500 participants in 2025.
  • Gruemila, the separate 10 km race, is designed to be Norway's fastest mile.
  • The course is pancake flat with a net drop of 9 meters and offers 6 km of tailwind towards the finish.
